Remarkably delicious, this pie is fun and easy to make. For a light-colored piecrust us ivory teff flour; for a chocolate-brown piecrust use brown teff flour. Both are equally scrumptious.
Serves: 6 to 8

Filling:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly oil a 9-inch pie pan.
To make the crust, combine the teff flour, oil, syrup, vanilla, and salt in a medium-size bowl and stir until well combined. Reserve 1/2 cup of the mixture to use as a crumb topping.
Transfer the dough to the prepared pie pan and use your fingers to press it out in an even layer over the bottom and sides of the pan. Poke a few holes in the dough with a fork. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until it loses its shine.
Put the peaches in the baked piecrust. Sprinkle the maple sugar and cinnamon over the peaches.
Crumble the reserved dough over the peaches. Bake for about 10 minutes, until the crumbs turn a slightly darker brown, and the peaches are tender to your liking. Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Creamy Yummy (Stage 1) Vegetarian Recipe
1) 2 cups organic potato (peeled and cut into small cubes)
2) 1 cup water or home made unsalted vegetable stock
3) 2 tablespoon organic extra virgin cold pressed olive oil
4) 1 organic leek (open and washed properly, use white stalk only) chopped.
5) ½ cup organic frozen peas (check label to make sure there is no salt added and also that it is made in the USA)
Add olive oil to pan, add leeks and sauté for about 5 minutes while stirring, add potato and water (or stock) and cover , cook for about 9 minutes, add the frozen peas and continue cooking for about 6 more minutes or until they are all soft. Puree to the right consistency for baby- For a creamy texture I use a food mill and for a mushy texture use a food processor.
Good source of fiber, folate, manganese, vitamin A, C, K.
There is no need for added flour (fillers) because the meal is not watered down, make sure the food you feed your baby doesn’t come with any added flour, flour is mostly used to thicken the food to help mask the ton of water added. Do not feed babies ‘empty nothing’, make every bite counts, whenever you want to feed something to your baby ask yourself what nutritional role is that little bite going to play?
Remember that every bite your baby takes is a nutritional opportunity for you to nourish your baby with the very best.
Some tips to help you make the right choices:
Taken into consideration how tiny baby tummies are and given the fact that they can only take so many bites a day efficiency is of the utmost importance
-Make sure the diet is sufficient with good calories, protein, calcium, whole grains and other complex carbohydrates, veggies and fruits WITH OUT FLOUR (FILLERS)
-Feed babies food that satisfy more than one nutritional requirement i.e. wholegrain will satisfy the need for complex carbohydrates and iron
-Do not feed babies ‘empty nothing’, make every bite counts.

According to the Scotsman, more than half of Scottish children under two are now fed an exclusively organic diet. In fact, organic baby food accounted for 43% of total baby food sales in 2004. That represented sales of more than 63 million GBP in 2004.
A survey of 805 mothers and pregnant women conducted by the polling company BMRB found that four out of five mothers chose organic food for weaning their young children off of milk (between 6 months and 1 year old). The reasons given were clearly related to additives and chemical spraying. Mothers in the survey cited “less risk of chemical pesticides” (87%), “no additives” (80%), and “no GM” (84%).
Intensive marketing campaigns by groups such as the Soil Association Scotland are getting the message across about the negative effects of pesticides. This is clearly having an impact on the buying preferences of parents, and also on changes in school menus.
Organic milk also has positive health characteristics. It can contain up to 71 per cent more omega 3 than non-organic milk and most organic milk has a better ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 than conventional milk. Companies such as Hipp are bringing new products to market — such as organic purees for weaning purposes — to take advantage of the demand.
But adults are not changing their own eating habits nearly as quickly. Asda, a Scottish supermarket chain owned by WalMart, says organic produce for adults accounts for only about 2% of total sales.
